Borderlands 3 Season Pass

Since I have better hardware, I've revisited Borderlands 3 as planned. The existence of a second season pass disappoints me, but that doesn't look like it has much, and that's after the meager offering of this first one. Unfortunately, NPCs will nag you now for missions only available in the second one every time you go back to Sanctuary (the game's main mission hub). As Gearbox mentioned, no DLCs add additional playable characters.

Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot could have been a side quest series in the base game and nothing would be lost. You meet Timothy the doppelganger from the Pre-Sequel, but you don't explore his character much. He's merely used as a key to unlock doors, and cooperates on the dream of asking Moxxi if he can leave once she's in charge.

The premise of Guns, Love, and Tentacles is about Hammerlock's and Jakobs' wedding. Things go horribly wrong with the local Cthulhu awakens. The enemies in these areas came off as bullet spongy for some reason, but that might have been because I needed better guns. The enemies have these gibberish names that I'm utterly unfamiliar with, but I'm not versed in Lovecraft.

Bounty of Blood takes you to a remote planet to bring down a gang. You get a cool ride. This line of quests had a narrator; he didn't come off as an annoying captain of the obvious, but I'm not sure that the idea quite worked. Even though it was the penultimate one I played, I struggle to recall any other salient detail about it, so that makes it forgettable.

Psycho Krieg and the Fantastic Fustercluck is the sole reason I wanted this pass. Remember Krieg, the guy I played as in the last game? His mind has mysteriously manifested itself as a planet. His personalities have split, and the way that Sane Krieg and Psycho Krieg talk is entertaining. It turns out that every psycho in the game wants to enter 'Vaulthalla', which seems to be a locked part of their mind? To help a brother out, you journey to several parts of Krieg's mind and past to collect parts of a key. There was a train, but I don't think it was the poop train. I don't recall any part retconning established lore about Krieg, though I'm disappointed that Tiny Tina still isn't his daughter.

Aside from Krieg, the other DLCs add more things to shoot at, and not much more. There's also new cosmetics, but I don't care for those. I recommend only getting this on a discount. Even without Tiny Tina's DLC in the last game, Borderlands 3 has much weaker DLC. I guess they realized how popular that one was, and Gearbox is doing a spinoff that's nothing but that story.
