Thank you for coming to my TED talk

ABZU

Here's a short and quick game to end the year with. There's not much here to make an epic review post.

Swimming with the fish

ABZU is a walking swimming simulator. It's obvious that this artsy-fartsy designer game wants to be considered art. There is no conflict, much less combat. It exists to be pretty and chill. Your character swims around in an ocean with lots of fish, seaweed, whales, and all the other sea creatures. You come to and travel through ruins but they seem long abandoned. You need to solve some simple puzzles to continue.

The graphics can be quite colorful and saturated at times. The music is orchestral and operatic.

I watch a lot of Youtube videos where someone reads Reddit posts. One of the channels has videogame footage in the background. From that, I've watched a let's play of this game a few times before playing it myself.

For someone like me, this "game" isn't worth much, maybe 5 bucks.
