Name Change

So Monday came and went. But this was no ordinary Monday!

Picture me at work trying to access my server, but nothing's getting through. I start freaking out, thinking that someone's probably breaking in. Considering that this is the Internet I'm talking about, this has likely already happened, and I'm just another guy coming by ages after the fact.

As it turned out, Gmail has failed me. It thought the email from DynDNS saying "if you don't come by in 5 days my free account will expire" was spam and phish bait, since Gmail said "this didn't come from where you think it does."

There you have it. No lies, no corporate cover ups. Page.doesntexist.com is dead. Long live theAndrewBailey!

Superliminal
Once upon a time, I saw a preview of a trippy game called The Museum of Simulation Technology. It was a puzzle game where you changed the sizes of things by placing things closer or further away. They were local, and it was in a contest at a local college, but I don't think it won any prizes. I signed up to the newsletter, but everything went quiet. I got my hands on the initial preview game, and wondered if this was still happening. A name change to Superliminal and one Epic Store exclusivity period later, it came out on the other game stores.
Halo Wars 2
When I heard that Halo Wars got a sequel, I wondered who wanted it. The first one didn't set the world on fire, and it wasn't sophisticated enough to get a sizeable cult following. Since Ensemble shut down, Microsoft chose Creative Assembly, the people behind the Total War series, to create this. By and large, Halo Wars 2 received the same mediocre welcome. It wasn't until Halo Infinite that anyone realized that this was meant to be a prequel of sorts.
The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe
This is a blog post about a game named The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe. This is an expanded version of The Stanley Parable. It's a story about a man named Stanley, and what happens when he is left all alone in an office building, with only a voice in his head to keep him company. There are certainly many offices like that since the world changed forever. The aesthetics hit almost too close to reality for this blogger.
Halo: Combat Evolved
Two days after dissecting Borderlands 3, the time had come. In all my life, I had played a grand total of about 5 minutes of the entire Halo series (in Halo 3, probably). After making a threat to buy it over 5 years ago, Halo: The Master Chief Collection has come to Steam, which I bought in the last sale. Selecting it in Steam, I hesitated clicking the play button as I contemplated the gravity of the situation. Although Halo was on PC shortly from the start, the series became something different in my eyes, as it became an Xbox icon. As a member of the PC Master Race, I see Master Chief as a horseman of the PC gaming apocalypse. Even after a generation, the Halo scar is still tender. But Halo isn't what it used to be, and from all accounts, is coming back to PC. All of it; even the new stuff. Still, it felt like I was about to betray my values and violate something deeply sacred. I gulped and clicked.
Death Rally (2012)
At the beginning of this month (3rd or so), I saw the new Death Rally on Steam. For less than $10. Picked it up right away.
